Artist: John Sabraw, Contextual Research

WEEK 3:

6-12th March

John Sabraw uses toxic sludge that has formed from acid drainage from coal mines in Ohio river. He uses the sludge as a media to paint and print with. He has done this as a protest to raise awareness on the subject matter and help restore the streams and in the process, turn the pollution into art. Again this way of working, using the source as the pollution within the work inspires me and would like to think about ways I can to try this.
